Visually speaking, NewJeans “Ditto” not just reminds me of early BTS in concept, but also older K-Pop in general. It has a beautiful, subdued color palette, much like “I Need U”. It uses analog film stylings that harken back to the early days of bands like Girls Generation. It follows a narrative, much like Brown Eyed Girls’s works. And, the two-chapter style is actually akin to several comebacks by the band T-ARA.

NewJeans is, much like their older counterparts, building upon the work of the many K-Pop bands before them to make something entirely unique.
